A well known brand like French Connection dosent need much introducing so let’s get straight to the point here.

The only thing I feel necessary to point out is that French Connection creative campaigns keeps humouring me year after year. I prefer the 2011 campaign to the 2012, but the 2012 is not too bad. I love the fact that they play on humour and use text to convey their messages, something that seemed to disappear for a while during the mid 80′s – 90′s, but is back on the map again in terms of fashion advertising.

Anyhow, enough of my jib jab.  Included in this years F C U K sample sale will be pieces from the womenswear, swimwear, accessories and childreswear lines. The Buy My Wardrobe events see groups of carefully selected uber-fashionistas, gathering to sell the unwanted contents of their designer wardrobes to discerning members of the public.

This Saturday 12th May 2012, twenty of these stylish ladies, many being fashion industry professionals, will give attendees exclusive access to the contents of their wardrobes and sell off their designer cast offs as the luxe-recycling revolution stops in a new part of town.

The event will take place at the 20th Century Theatre, Westbourne Grove and will open with a VIP Champagne pre-view hour where ticket holders get to beat the crowds and bag the bargains. From styling sessions to pampering treatments, they’ll have the experts on hand to help their shoppers create the perfect look. Pringle of Scotland is the iconic brand founded in 1815 at the birthplace of the Scottish knitwear industry. Pringle has been knitting cashmere since the 1870s when it began as a luxury hosiery manufacturer. It was later credited with creating the intarsia design known today as the Pringle signature argyle pattern, which was immediately adopted by the Duke of Windsor and the fashionable set of the time.

This weekend they will be joining a very long array of fashion brands that will be hosting sample sales across the city. This Thursday May 10th 2012, the guys will be driving over from their headquarters in Wales with a mysterious van full of goodies. Included among other things in this van of mystery there will be pieces of the last-in-the-box from past seasons, some old favourites, one-off samples that only just made it past the drawing board, and a few returns that need a button or a stitch – all gold selling stuff for silver prices. As Howies are a company where sports and general nature loving is the core of the brand they encourage attendees to bike it to the event and to bring their own shopping bag to put all your shopping goodies in (as they won’t supply any).
